Robert Newsom, FAIA
Bob Newsom brings over 45 years of experience and leadership in the architectural profession to AC Martin. Throughout his career he has been involved in a wide body of work, spanning several markets, building types, and clients across the nation. He has led design teams in Aviation, Education, Civic, Government, Sports and Entertainment, Healthcare, and Commercial projects, and his work has been recognized for design and technological excellence from local, state and national organizations. Bob’s work demonstrates a commitment to making great places in the public and private realm.
Bob is a fellow of the American Institute of Architects, and past president of the Los Angeles Chapter. He has served on the board of directors of the Design Build Institute of America, the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce and the University of Southern California Architectural Guild, as well as Technical Advisory Panels for the Urban Land Institute. Currently, Bob serves on the board of advisors for the Architectural Engineering department at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, bringing his vast knowledge to help shape the future leaders of the design and construction industry. A registered architect in California, Arizona and Alaska, Bob received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Arizona.
