Jeff Mertzel

As an Associate Principal and Design Director, Jeff oversees and is involved in each project from the conceptual design phase through construction. His vast design experience includes multi-family, mixed-use, hospitality and affordable housing, as well as assisted-living and student housing.

With over 20 years of project experience, Jeff has designed award-winning projects across California. He is interested in design that explores innovative unit plan and new residential building prototypes to maximize densities, in addition to challenging infill housing sites. Jeff has an exceptional ability to work with various city jurisdictions for project approvals. His talent for creating design visions that balance both client needs and capturing the spirit of place is well recognized.
