The LA Unified School District contracted with AC Martin to survey and evaluate a number of existing school campuses and develop long-range master plans for the ways these school properties will be used over the next 50 years. These Master Plans show phased sequences for the development, expansion, repair and renovation of middle and high school facilities, and will serve as the basis for a $7B bond measure the District plans to issue in the near future. The Master Plans incorporate strategies and techniques for adaptive reuse and modernization to suit current and future learning platforms and pedagogy.

AC Martin developed a highly efficient, rapid-fire process to accomplish these assessments within an unusually brief time frame, creating a template that the District is now using as its standard work scope and project procedure. LAUSD project management responded to this cost-effective process so favorably, that it has continually added to AC Martin’s portfolio, increasing the number of projects we have been asked to complete to a current total of 15 separate campuses comprising a total of 181 acres.
