Green Music Center
California State University, Sonoma
The main concert hall of Sonoma State University's Green Music Center accommodates performances of varied sizes – everything from smaller intimate choral or chamber performances (300-500 people) to full orchestral staging (up to 1400 people). Through the use of sliding exterior wall panels, the intimacy of the main concert hall opens and extends into the outdoor informal seating area through the lawn area beyond. In this way, the main concert hall acts like the shell of an amphitheater and creates the backdrop for the performance. This lawn area provides stage sight lines for up to 3,000 people.
A smaller recital hall, suitable for 300-400 people, is just a few steps from the main building. This hall is used for smaller performances, rehearsals, banquets, or other special events.
AC Martin is the Architect of Record for Sonoma State University’s Green Music Center, located at the northeast corner of the campus.
